If you're not thinking about your future health now, when will you?
2 weeks before finishing fck I'M FIFTY, I was diagnosed with a small cancer tumor. I was 55. After having it removed, the biopsy showed a high-grade cancer that had previously been undetected, which is going to mean removal of the bladder and a new normal for life with an ostomy bag.
I consider myself lucky with the outcome and have many years of active life ahead of me. However, it made me realize how important my decision was to take care of myself in my early fifties. The surgeon said my changes were likely the deciding factor in our conversation about my future.

I wrote this to be a plan so simple in design, that implementing it into our busy lives was easily achievable. This worked for me and helped me become the man I wanted to be. I became fitter, healthier, and mentally more robust in my fifties than I was in my 30’s. Whether this becomes a foundation for you to build on or a lifestyle to adopt, it is my hope that the insights and ideas will help you become the man you want to be.
Spoiler alert, you're likely going to trip up, screw up, fuck up, and typically make a hash of things at some point, even as a grown-ass adult. But it’s ok, you're huMAN, and this is now “Your Story”.
